Architected and built a B2B e-commerce platform for dermatological products using a modern headless stack.

THE PROJECT

MedEstetica is a leading B2B supplier of professional-grade dermatological products. The objective was to build a sophisticated, high-performance e-commerce platform for medical clinics and aesthetic professionals. The site needed to facilitate easy ordering of specialized products like hyaluronic acid, PRP kits, and dermatoscopes, while also serving as an authoritative resource through a dedicated blog and educational content.

THE CHALLENGE

  • Developing a robust system to handle complex B2B features, such as client-specific pricing, account verification, and bulk order capabilities.
  • Integrating a decoupled architecture, combining a headless e-commerce engine (Medusa.js), a content management system (Sanity.io), and a custom frontend (Next.js).
  • Ensuring a scalable and secure infrastructure on AWS to handle sensitive business data and transactions.
  • Creating an effective lead generation funnel through a compelling lead magnet to capture and nurture potential business clients.

THE SOLUTION

  • A headless commerce architecture was implemented using Medusa.js for backend commerce logic and Next.js for a fast, static-first frontend. This provided unparalleled flexibility and performance.
  • Sanity.io was integrated as the headless CMS, empowering the marketing team to manage the blog, SEO content, and product landing pages independently of the development cycle.
  • The entire solution was deployed on Amazon Web Services (AWS) for maximum scalability and reliability, with cPanel utilized specifically for managing corporate email infrastructure.
  • A strategic lead magnet, offering an exclusive industry report, was designed in Figma and implemented to effectively capture leads from medical professionals, building a valuable marketing database.
